Let’s just start things off here by stating the obvious: it is not yet July. However, I am completely impatient and this month was a very unusual circumstance where I received two fixes. This will likely not happen again unless I suddenly stumble upon a large sum of money. Possible, but I’m not holding my breath. Since I already did a June Stitch Fix Review, I couldn’t very well have two posts with the same title and blah blah blahhhh this is the July review.
A weird thing happened when I posted my very first review. I sort of expected people to start unfollowing my page because that isn’t my “usual” post. Thankfully that didn’t happen, but what did happen is that post has become my second most frequently viewed blog each day (second only to the infamous yoga pants post). So what I’m trying to say is, I’m not giving up on the Stitch Fix Reviews.
This was an interesting Fix. My last Fix I kept 0/5. This Fix I went back and forth between almost every object, as you will see below.
Pixley – Gonzalez double strap tank
I was iffy on this one straight out of the box. It looked like it had potential but I just wasn’t sure. When I tried it on, it was a tiny bit shorter than I am used to, and I wished the straps were adjustable, because I would have liked them just a tad longer. Overall though, I thought this was a cute, easy, airy top that I could wear in pretty much any situation.
Papermoon – Waters printed maxi dress
The dang arbitrary waist placement in dresses just kills me. It never ever hits me in the right spot. I had high hopes about this dress, but still the waist was still a little off. However, it wasn’t too long, it was SUPER comfy and light and airy. I also thought this would be perfect whenever I have another baby, because my last trimester with G I basically lived in one maxi dress I owned. So, thinking ahead, I thought this one would serve me well into the future.
Kut From The Kloth – Kate distressed boyfriend jean
I keep thinking I should go change my profile and say “no more jeans!” because every single pair I’ve been sent has fit so perfect that I had to keep them even though I don’t even NEED jeans. I will cut to the chase on these bad boys- I LOVED THEM. Absolutely loved them. Fit just perfect, in that creepy way that every pair Stitch Fix has sent does. Since my very first fix, I have only worn non-Stitch Fix jeans on MAYBE five occasions. MAYBE. That’s stretching it. I just have loved every pair they’ve sent. So obviously, I had to keep these. P.S. – I really struggled getting a picture where you could appreciate the jeans. Rest assured the back view is super cute, but I am unable to figure out a way to take a picture of my own butt.
Bancroft – Kala layered coin necklace
Similar to my jean situation, I really don’t need any more jewelry, but I can’t bring myself to say “NO MORE JEWELRY” on my preferences because every once in a while I will see an awesome necklace and not want to close off my options, ya know? I loved this necklace, it is totally my style. And bonus: jewelry always fits. Necklaces don’t ever hurt after you eat too much. So,
BRIXON IVY – Lex textured floral knit fit & flare dress
This was the first thing I saw when I opened the box. The bright yellow made my heart skip a beat, because neon holds a special place in my heart. It was a very interesting fabric – in my opinion too heavy for summer, but yet it was comfortable to wear. Once I put it on I absolutely hated it. I took it off immediately and banished it to the “definite send back” pile. Then I remembered I was going to do a review, so later that day I put it back on with heels and a statement necklace and it seemed a little better. My husband asked what I kept when he got home that night, and I showed him a picture of all of items on me. The first thing he said was “I love that yellow dress. I hope you kept it.” Weird. So then it started to grow on me a little. And then I did the math, and since Stitch Fix gives you a 25% discount if you keep all 5 items, it was actually cheaper to keep the dress than send it back. So I did.
Yes. A 5/5 again for Stitch Fix. Which of these pieces was your favorite? And have you tried Stitch Fix yet? If not, what the heck are you waiting for? Click below to get started! You can build a profile of your preferences (which I found seriously fun) and then schedule a fix now or later!
