Its been a LONG time since I’ve done a Stitch Fix review, the last one was when I was 15 weeks pregnant with Elijah. I have been anxiously awaiting my first post-baby Fix, and scheduled it pretty much as soon as Eli was born.
I am currently seven weeks postpartum, and I requested new Spring clothes for this transition time where my body is not quite as it used to be (hi breastfeeding boobs). I updated my weight and bra size and requested bright tops and a maxi dress that would work with this stage of my body. Overall I would say they did exactly as I requested. I did this little iPhone selfie-style photo shoot in about ten minutes while Eli watched from his bouncy chair and sister napped, and I prayed he wouldn’t start screaming before I was done. I have had one shower this entire week, and lets just say it was closer to Monday than Friday (today), so I spared you all the joy of seeing my gorgeous dirty hair and sans make-uped face. So enjoy my first postpartum Stitch Fix Review! Here is what I received:
Zad Veronica Layered Metal Cuff
I am just not a big bracelet person. I wear my Live Lokai bracelet every day and rarely change it up. I liked this cuff a lot actually, but I just didn’t see myself wearing it enough to make it worth it.
Market & Spruce Jenson Embroidery Detail Top
Pros: I liked the color, it fit, and the fabric was nice and airy. I can see how to dress it up or dress it down. Cons: A little too boxy shaped for me. Felt a little too “mom-ish” for me (and trust me – I already feel VERY mom-ish. I need a little spice in my wardrobe).
Collective Concepts Benjamin Kimono
I am a kimono QUEEN. I love me a kimono. Which means I have a few, and this one just wasn’t my style. I liked the colors, but the patterns were a little much for me and the sleeves were just a bizarre style/length.
41Hawthorn McAdams Beaded Neckline Blouse
Loved the color and detail on this top, but again, it was a little boxy for me. Petite + breastfeeding boobs = already looking a little boxy and anything that’s not cut longer and closer to the body just amplifies this.
Loveappella Carlita Jersey Maxi Dress
A PETITE MAXI DRESS!! HALLELUJIAH!! This fit like a dream and was SUPER comfy. I liked the cut of it a lot, but I am just not a fan at all of the print and color of this dress. A different color or print I would have kept it in a heartbeat!
Sadly, this was a 0/5 Fix for me. I feel the stylist did exactly as I requested, and I feel like I have a better idea of exactly what to request for the next time around. Dressing a constantly changing postpartum body is dang tough, but I’m looking forward to giving it another go ASAP!
